President
Tom Tan is the President of the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC) in Toronto, a volunteer-led organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting Filipino culture and heritage in Canada. As president, he plays a key leadership role in organizing the annual Mabuhay Philippines Festival at Nathan Phillips Square, one of the largest Filipino cultural events in the country.
Under his leadership, the festival continues to showcase the rich traditions, cuisine, arts, and talents of the Filipino community while bringing together cultural organizations, businesses, artists, and community leaders. Through his work with PIDC, Tom Tan helps strengthen community connections and promote Filipino culture within the broader Canadian multicultural landscape.
