PIDC’s Mission and Vision

Mission Statement

The Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC) iis steadfastly committed to the promotion and preservation of Filipino culture and heritage across Canada. We achieve this by organizing a diverse range of inclusive and community-driven events designed to celebrate our rich history, vibrant traditions, and core values. Through these events, we not only highlight the unique contributions of Filipino culture but also create opportunities for engagement and interaction among various community members. Our initiatives include cultural showcases, educational outreach programs, and collaborative partnerships with local organizations, each aimed at fostering a profound sense of unity, pride, and belonging among Filipino-Canadians. By creating spaces where individuals can come together to learn, share, and grow, we contribute meaningfully to the cultural diversity of Canada, ensuring that the vibrant Filipino identity is both recognized and respected within the nation’s multicultural framework.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be a leading cultural organization that empowers Filipino-Canadians to wholeheartedly embrace their identity, celebrate their rich heritage, and forge strong connections within their community. We aspire to cultivate a vibrant and united Filipino-Canadian community, where cultural pride is actively nurtured and passed down to future generations. We envision a society in which the stories, traditions, and contributions of Filipino-Canadians are seamlessly woven into the broader Canadian narrative, fostering mutual respect and understanding among all cultural groups. By championing our culture, we aim to inspire individuals to take pride in their heritage and become advocates for inclusivity and diversity. Our goal is to create a lasting impact, ensuring that our cultural legacy flourishes not only within our community but also resonates throughout Canadian society, ultimately leading to a future where all identities are celebrated and cherished.
