Since its incorporation as a non-profit organization in 1997, the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC) Toronto has been guided by a series of dedicated leaders who have shaped its legacy in the Filipino-Canadian community. Each past president has played a crucial role in promoting Filipino heritage and fostering unity within the community, while also expanding cultural awareness across diverse groups in Canada.
These individuals have upheld the council’s mission to celebrate Philippine Independence through various annual events, including the iconic Mabuhay Festival, and to showcase the talents and achievements of Filipinos in Toronto and beyond. Their leadership has not only strengthened PIDC’s reputation but also elevated the contributions of the Filipino-Canadian diaspora.
