Project Sunshine: Bringing Light to Sick Kids is a heartfelt initiative organized by Alpha Kappa Rho, designed to bring joy and hope to children battling serious illnesses in Cavite, Philippines. In collaboration with the LCHC Foundation, Rotary Club Manila 101, and the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC), this project aims to uplift the spirits of these children and their families, offering them a day filled with happiness and respite from their daily struggles.
Under the leadership of Agnes Pasaporte Miranda of the LCHC Foundation, the project saw volunteers and organizers working hand in hand to make the event a success. Their efforts brought light to the children’s lives, reminding them they are not alone in their fight. The presence of Sofya Jordan, 1st Runner-Up of Miss Philippines PIDC 2024, added an extra layer of warmth to the occasion. Her genuine care and cheerful interactions with the kids left a lasting impact, filling the room with smiles and laughter.
This inspiring initiative highlights the profound impact that community-driven compassion can have, showing that even small acts of kindness can make a world of difference in the lives of those who need it most. By coming together, the organizers and supporters of Project Sunshine demonstrated the true meaning of service, love, and humanity.
